My perfect child
was developed for the sole purpose of bringing parents together and our
children together. I can't count the many times I have searched for events
or programs for my child to enjoy and be around other children that he can
relate to without judgment, exclusion, or misunderstanding and came up
with nothing. I couldn't help but to ask myself, "Am I the only one?"
Thus, Myperfectchild.com was born. I feel that people who don't understand
Autism or have a child with Autism tend to judge us as parents and our
children.
I
hope this website can connect parents and children alike in the
Columbus - Dublin, OH area to be able to come together for
support and understanding. When my husband and I had our son
Ryan (who is now 10) we had no idea where to turn, where to
start to get him diagnosed with what ever was going on with him
because we didn't know at the time. We were just going in
circles. There was no one to tell us what to do at that time
either and I just remember how frustrating it was.
My intentions of
this site is to help others, start a team of parents, hold events for our
children to enjoy, such as bowling, picnics and so on. To let other
parents know that they are not alone. There are people who understand,
that have felt every emotion that you have felt. Were here, we care, and
we know our children are perfect the way they are. I look forward to
meeting you and your perfect child.
